Şöbiyet has certain differences compared to classical baklava. Classic baklava is made of 40 layers of phyllo, while söbiyet is made using 14 layers of yufka. Another difference of Şöbiyet from the classical baklava is that it is filled with cream.

The key point in creamy sobiyet baklava is to use semolina cream and plenty of pistachios.
